Why experts pick it
The Fellow Stagg XF features a flat-bottom bed with a unique rate control valve that lets you adjust flow speed without changing grind size—a notable differentiator from other pour-over drippers. The double-wall stainless steel design retains heat exceptionally well. The set version includes a borosilicate glass carafe and 45 paper filters. Filters are proprietary and pricier than wave or V60 papers, and the smaller single-cup format may not suit those brewing for multiple people.
Strengths
- Rate control valve allows flow adjustment without grind changes
- Double-wall construction provides excellent heat retention
- Premium design and build quality
Trade-offs
- Proprietary filters are pricier than Kalita or V60 papers
- Small capacity best suited to single-cup brewing
